Favorite Ride: St Jean Pied de Port, in the Pyrenees. You start in a small French farming village, cross into Spain and return, climbing three mountain passes along the way. The scenery is amazing. The roads are windy, narrow and you usually get a few shouts of 'bon courage!' from the locals along the way.
Favorite Quote: The ironic thing about training is that it makes you weaker. You only get stronger when you rest. If you never rest, you'll never get any stronger.
Why I Ride: I feel more connected to my world on a bike. Please don't make me get in a car again.
My Commute: Right now I don't have a commute because I work at home. In the past I've worked in Powell, Hilliard and even West Jefferson - now THAT was a commute!

Week of February 2, 2015 5 Rides  •  79 Miles
Thu 2/5 9 miles   Salt Mines and CCM. It was a "warm" 14 degrees. Snow on Calumet was easy to ride in. 
Wed 2/4 9 miles   Salt Mines and CCM. 
Wed 2/4 45 miles   Chapman Rd hill route on the SS. Beautiful February day. 
Tue 2/3 7 miles   Took neighborhood route. Roads were icy in spots. 
Mon 2/2 9 miles   Wife had a snow day, but I was still able to ride in along High St -> Oakland Park -> Calumet -> Weber. 
Week of January 26, 2015 6 Rides  •  96 Miles
Sat 1/31 8 miles   Took Avril to Birthday party at The Salt Mines. 30 degrees with sun was no problem. Avril was warm in the trailer. 
Sat 1/31 60 miles   Single Speed Saturday with Marty and Caminati. 13 deg at the start. But lots of sun. Wasn't any problem staying warm. 
Fri 1/30 7 miles   Salt Mines. Side roads were a little icy because of overnight snow. High St, Calumet, and Weber were fine.
