Favorite Ride: St Jean Pied de Port, in the Pyrenees. You start in a small French farming village, cross into Spain and return, climbing three mountain passes along the way. The scenery is amazing. The roads are windy, narrow and you usually get a few shouts of 'bon courage!' from the locals along the way.
Favorite Quote: The ironic thing about training is that it makes you weaker. You only get stronger when you rest. If you never rest, you'll never get any stronger.
Why I Ride: I feel more connected to my world on a bike. Please don't make me get in a car again.
My Commute: Right now I don't have a commute because I work at home. In the past I've worked in Powell, Hilliard and even West Jefferson - now THAT was a commute!

Sat 5/12 61 miles 3.1 hr Lilly Chapel loop with JoeB, Boss, Boom boom, and Caminati. Boss has some mad fitness right now. 
Thu 5/10 18 miles   Absolutely perfect night for a bike path + hills ride. Bright clear sun that made the trees look really lush and green. 
Tue 5/8 3 miles   Perfect night to ride to a piano lesson + Krogers on the way home 
Tue 5/8 13 miles   Groceries at CCM plus bonus miles on the way home. 
Mon 5/7 14 miles   Lane ave Trek for a few tweaks on the commuter bike. Good luck in CO Bart!! We'll miss you. 
Week of April 30, 2012 3 Rides  •  79 Miles  •  2.6 hours
Sat 5/5 50 miles 2.6 hr Plain City loop with Haddow and Caminati. Madison county was blanketed in a cold, dense, wet fog. Felt like riding underwater. 
Thu 5/3 15 miles   Picked up a suit from Astor and Black downtown. Rode really slowly so I wouldn't be overheated when I got there. 
Mon 4/30 14 miles   Groceries at CCM. Perfect day to ride. Bonus miles with a full messenger bag on the way home.
