Winner winner chicken dinner!!! Got away with two other guys. Punched it up the hill and got rid on one of the dudes. Made the last guy pay on the last lap when I attacked him on the climb to the keyhole turn. Soloed the rest of the lap to win by over a minute. "Bling Bling" cut a tire 500 feet into his first race with a flat. He did a great job cheering me on from the sidelines. Cold, windy and fun race. "Dodge" ball top fived the 4/5 race and Katie won the women's race!!!
Riley got second in the Jr's. Good day for Echelon!!!

Could it be any colder? I will try to race in Ohio again at the end of next month.

Great course. Tym tyler and I managed to get away after about 5-6 laps. Tym was gracious enough to let me have the win. Always a fun race.

Mid-Ohio GP...cold, windy, tough. Good attendance in spite of the conditions. +50 Masters X 10 We all stayed together until the fifth lap, then the festivities started. A number of hard pulls and all out sprint up the backside hill pulled the group apart. Tym Tyler, one of his teammates, and I got a gap. We worked together for a few laps to build a decent lead then another sprint up the backside spit me off the back. A little gap grew larger as we decended the hill into the wind. I chased for a while then TT'ed in the rest of the way to 3rd place. I just kept thinking about those buzzards circling overhead looking for their next meal.

Cold day but the sun was out. By the 4th lap we had split the field up and was in the lead group of 7. Couldnt get a break opened up, but was able to sprint for a good finish.

Seriously -- it was really cold. The short version is that I just don't have it yet to stay with the lead group when they punch it. Better than Malabar, just not there yet. Good to see teammates Jeff and Ted doing well. Moral victory was that the TT effort was the best all year in terms of exertion, HR, sustained power. So -- I oughta be great in September.

It was a good second race for me but I think the cold weather got the best of my lungs and I was not able to transfer the power to my legs. Dodgeball represented well for the Cat5s.

Just can't pass up an opportunity to race on this track. It was freezing and the 30 mile race was actually 21 miles. Regardless, I didn't feel that great anyway.

First bike race ever...it lasted about 500 feet! Flat Tire. Oh well, it was great to see the team do so well. I'll be back, and next time I'll try to make it at least one lap.
